“ I have had the good fortune to go to Annies twice, once on my own and once with a friend. Its a reasonable distance for me to travel but its so worth it. Firstly the food is incredible, and its not just incredible because its gluten free, its just really really good food. I think that the fact that most guests are not coeliacs and are delighted with their food is very telling. Secondly the atmosphere, both times I have had a great evening, met some interesting people and felt very comfortable and welcomed in their home. If I lived closer I would go to every single event they hold! ”
“ Annie’s is the best of both dining worlds – food you’d expect from a multi-starred establishment, with the comfort and ease of a family home. The creativity of the menu is matched with the warm welcome of the hosts, and this is our coeliac heaven on earth! ”

Gluten Free Supper Club in London area
This is an underground supper club (mini restaurants hosted in people’s homes on specified dates and open to the public by prior reservation). The have extensive experience with Celiacs and run a 100% gluten free kitchen.
First of all, the food is AMAZING. Menu is several courses, seasonal and different each event. Check website for menu and dates. Last night I was served breaded haddock with tartar sauce, a creamed turnip (parsnip?) soup, venison with blackberry sauce, roasted veg, gratin potatoes and a wonderful Christmas pudding with apple ice cream, tea and an assortment of chocolates. Every item from the gluten-free fish balls to the chocolates was homemade from scratch. They can also accommodate vegetarians with advance notice.
The supper club is run by a husband and wife who happen to be the nicest, most welcoming people I have met. As it is open to anyone, you are guaranteed to meet an interesting assortment of people.
Wonderful experience, delicious and trustworthy food. Highly recommend! (You can google “underground dining” if you want more info on the concept, but Annie has all the details you need for her place on her website).
