Gluten Free Underground Restaurant

The Supperclub

How It Works

Annie and her Maître d’ invite you to join them for a five-course, gluten free dinner at a secret location in Bromley. Full directions to the secret venue will be sent out upon receipt of your booking.   All of our food is gluten free, cooked in a gluten free kitchen.  If you are vegetarian or vegan, please let us know at the time of booking.  At the end of the evening you will be invited to make a donation for your meal, £25 being the minimum amount customarily given by each guest.

The Evening

L’Apéritif
Annie and her Maître d’ enjoy welcoming new friends to spend an evening with them. You can expect to be greeted with a light Apéritif to stimulate your appetite for the meal ahead. The aperitif is their way of showing their pleasure at having guests over for dinner and is a way for everyone to become better acquainted.

L’Entrée

L’entrée is often mistakenly used to refer to the main course of a meal but it is in fact the start of the dinner that is presented to guests.

Le Plat Principal

The main course typically includes either meat or fish, served with side dishes of salads, rice, or pasta. Our meat is supplied by one of two butchers – J Par & Co Ltd, a family butcher based in West Wickham, Kent or The Butcher of Brogdale (via Foodari Direct).  Vegetarians are happily catered for if requested at the time of booking.

Le Dessert

The Dessert may be either hot or cold. Since it is served towards the end of the dinner, dessert is commonly light and small – however if Maître d’ prevails you can be sure that it will be rich and probably include chocolate!

Le Café

Just like the aperitif, Annie and her Maître d’ offer coffee as another gesture of gratitude and pleasure at having shared their home for dinner and is usually accompanied by a home made sweet treat to finish the night off.

Throughout the meal, water (still or sparkling) is served by your hosts. You are however more than welcome to bring with you any drink that you may wish to enjoy with your meal.

Hello there – please can you tell me if you can cater for a coeliac who is also entirely dairy and soy intolerant?

Look forward to your response and keeping my fingers crossed!

Best wishes, Carolyn

Hi Carolyn. We regularly cater for dairy free coeliacs – as an example I am making a dairy and gluten free tiramisu for one guest on Saturday! I am also able to cater without soy. For 2 years I was dairy, soya, wheat and egg free so I’ve a few tricks up my sleeve from those days!

Wherever possible I aim to give guests the same menu. If, because of a restriction, it just is not possible to do justice to a dish by replacing certain ingredients (or if the complexity of the menu means I am unable to make that many individual changes especially if I have a number of different dietary requirements amongst guests at a particular dinner) then I always ensure that what you DO have is equally as delicious as the dish being enjoyed by other guests!

If you book, make sure you flag up your requirements on the booking form. I hope we get to meet!

    Best wishes

    Annie
